Chairman Mike Pearson called the meeting to order.
Mike gave copies of some information from the Department of Revenue website.
Exemptions of Public Safety tax were discussed, which are governed by State law.
Mr. Pearson talked about our current deficient budget and the next few years possible deficient budgets and increasing costs.
Supervisor of Assessments, Janice Hamberg gave those in attendance copies of future figures and assessment costs in comparison to what Mr. Jenks gave out at the County Board meeting last week.
Sheriff Edwards gave copies of deputy schedules and lack of sufficient deputies. He also reiterated the lack of space, equipment and jailers for the ever increasing inmate population.
Other cost cutting ideas were discussed. Mr. Johnson promised the Sheriff the $20,000 that is now being spent to WIEDP.
Mrs. Hamberg also handed out copies of comparable sale figures for County owned properties should the County try to sell them.
